What's New SUNDAY?

Okay...3 am and I'm still wide awake...can't get my mandala pages to accept the inspirational quotes I've chosen for each piece of art...why wasn't I born smart instead of cute??

Laundry is done..got to fold the last batch.  I have to be in Fort Erie (an hour's drive each way) for noon ...I was specially invited to attend an aboriginal ceremony so I MUST be there...when I get back, got to drove into town and pick up special apple pies from The Pie PLate..(none for me) for gifts to take to Quebec with us on Monday morning.

Everything else is done except packing and last minute stuff...we will be gone for six days...just waiting for my son, the bouncer, to come home from work at 4 am.  He always has the funniest stories to tell me.  It's a way that he "winds down" from the stress at work.

Darned chilly out..hope I don't have to pack my flannel long undies!  Got my protein drinks all measured out in baggies and packed with my china mugs, mini-blender stick and a small electric kettle in its usual carry bag..always prepared for travel.  Ack.....got a small snag in my brand new manicure and no time to get it fixed before we leave...darn! Well, I've filed it as best as I can..will have to do.

I've got Mother all set and taken care of....my two sons will keep an eyes on her while I'm gone.  LilyRose and Katie seem to know we are going away for a while..they seem particularly clingy tonight.

I made a magnificent pot roast tonight..I even impressed myself!  But since it's BEEF, I avoided it..but it sure smells good.

I will continue to send prayers, healing vibrations, positive thoughts and swinging bologna sandwiches since I'm outa  frozen chickens right now, for all our family members who need support and hugs.

Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

I'm up, showered, dressed and eating my carbmaster yogurt for my breakfast, then off to church.  I am greeting this morning .... it'****heran Women Missionary League Sunday, so we are helping with services today.  We're all wearing a "purple" ribbon to show we are supporters.

After church will be Bible Study - we're talking about the various names for God.....very interesting.

For lunch I will warm up a bowl of chili and have a few multi=grain crackers.   Have to finish a book this afternoon as it is due at the library tomorrow.....good thing it's a small one.

This evening is our monthly book club meeting - we will discuss "The Shack" that we read.  Then home to watch one of my very favorite shows "The Amazing Race".

Went to the farmers market yesterday and got a sackfull of green and red peppers for a great price - they are already processed and in the freezer for winter.   Also got a few tomatoes as my plants are done now, and an acorn and butternut squash.   Very nice produce and great prices!

Gotta go fix my hair and put on some lipstick.   Have a blessed day.

nancy-enjoy-be safe!

pat- i must have something wrong with my head ( well- we ALL know i do but let's not go there!) cuz i could NOT be satisfied at breakfast with simply a yogurt...i applaud you the willpower....

i was awake off and on during the nite but basically slept----michael- he was in bed but i don't know quality of sleep-his "runs' had quit last nite by about 830 but started back up this morning when he bolted out of bed 1/2 hour ago--hope he doesn't get dehydrated! when someone is almost 70 years old it's hard to do any more than say drink lots of water and juice!--keep the tp full and stay outta their way!!!!

roxie is squirrel watching in the back yard--she probly wouldn't know what to do with one if she caught it!!!a long furry tailed one was on a limb just taunting her with his tail- na na na nana---was comical!!!!!

i am in need of some alone time- quiet reflection time- and private journalling time--to get my head sorted out-when i woke, i immediately thought of the peace and tranquility at nan and marc's and was wishing i were there with my coffee mug (and a warm sweatshirt probly)!!! instead ; i think today i need to shop for some basic groceries and fix the checkbook( just enter everything properly)  that i didn't do the other day!the dishwasher is running- i don't use it often but this morning just didn't feel like washing things! and the sink was full! put some laundry away, straighten the house-if the realtor called i would have to say no to a showing right now -that's where my head is tho the house isn't that bad!

i hear roxietheelephant running thru the house so i know michael has brought her in....
nothing else really planned today- just getting ready for monday work and tuesday's heart cath....
hugs and prayers...and thanks for your blessings!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Good morning Nancy, Pat  & Margo. Marc has been gone for a week again. This time his mom had partial knee repalcement in Marshall. It just happened to be around the same time as bow hunting. So he also did that in Battle Creek.
He got his first one last Saturday up here. Hopefully he will get more. He has a few permits, last year he got 3. He will be home tomorrow.
Margo you are welcome anytime. We don't have snow yet at least. I have been emptying our garden & making jam. I have canned about 30 pints of green beans, made some pickled beets & canned some. Between the rain drops I have been digging potatoes & carrots. Almost done. Oh, when I have time, moving & stacking wood. We have an outdoor wood stove. Sounds like I have been busy, but I still have a lot of free time. I hope you all have a great Sunday!!!

Good Morning, All

I went to see the movie "Julia and Julia" last night with some friends.  I never realized that Julia Child was such a character!  I never got past the voice, I think , and her awkwardness when I saw her on TV.  She was something else!  And I really identified with her absolute "besottedness" (if that's a word), with food.  Mery; Streep was wonderful.  I could almost TASTE the butter!!    Now, of course, I have to go get a biography of her and read all about her.  I'll probably try to get the book the movie's based on, if there is such a thing.

Today no real plans.  It rained yesterday, so no yard work.  Maybe I'll move some leaves around today.  Or maybe not.

Work this afternoon.

I live such an exciting life!

Good morning, OFF'rs

Thought I'd check in.  With so many having health and work/family issues, it does not behoove me to share my petty problems.  I hope all will be better for you all soon.

Put a corned beef in the crockpot yesterday and a rack of ribs in the oven @200F, took them out this morning... oh my...!!!

Been sneezing and realizing that it's the Fall crud coming on so "heading it off at the Pass".  Pediatric Benadryl works wonders.

Already been to Starbucks this morning.  Finishing up cleaning the kitchen. Got to take the clothes out of the washer and put another load in.

Talk about a boring life!!!

Son is still seeing wonderful girl.  Glad that's working out.  I'm suffering from empty nesters still.... but I'll get over it.  He lives very close to me.

That's it for the hometeam.

Hi All,
Prayers out to everyone who need them!!!!!
I replanted my little area in front of my house. It looks very cute. Ill have to take a picture and post it. I became Farmer Carla yesterday.
Last night we all went out for Italian. My cousin from Toronto is here for the weekend. He said he had to come down to warm up!!!!! He brought his cute daughter with him.
We arent going to Chicago for Thanksgiving. Some cousins decided to come here instead so we are going to have big bbq on Thanksgiving day and swim in the pool!!!!! Never could do that in Colorado unless we were at a hotel!!!!!
So we are going to go to Chicago November 1st for about 10 days.
Well off for the day.
